Join the Outwood English Hub for research and discussion about the ‘word gap’ and implications in primary and beyond.

We will explore the importance of ‘amplifying’ language within a language-rich environment to build word memory as well as introduce explicit vocabulary instruction approaches.

There will be four sessions all held from 3.15pm - 4.30pm on the following dates:

• Tuesday 9th February 2021: all staff

• Thursday 4th March 2021: Word Power - targeted at EYFS

• Tuesday 9th March 2021: Word Power - targeted at Key Stage 1

• Tuesday 16th March 2021: Word Power - targeted at Key Stage 2
