The session (aimed at Reception / Year 1 teachers), provides valuable insight into Talk Through Stories—a carefully designed approach for supporting four- to six-year-old children, particularly those who may not come from language-rich homes.
This session will explore how Talk Through Stories helps children fall in love with rich, engaging stories while learning to use “Tier Two” vocabulary—words that are not typically heard in everyday conversation but are essential for academic and reading success.
By introducing and embedding these powerful words in meaningful, everyday contexts, Talk Through Stories extends and deepens children’s vocabulary. This supports their ability to understand the books they will soon be reading independently.
